About Tracie Turnipseed & Pregnancy Massage

Who I am & My Philosophy

Put simply, I'm here to help women enjoy their pregnancy.  Also providing relief from acute & chronic pain for men and women needing Therapeutic Massage.  We do not have to live with pain.  I have been a Massage Therapist for over 10 years, specializing in Pregnancy Massage for 6 years.

Massage should be therapeutic as well as relaxing.  Through the safe use of essential oils, hot towels, bodywork, movement and massage, all your senses will be stimulated to allow for maximum stress relief, both mind and body.

The Facts

  • Pregnancy Massage can be preformed from the time you find out & up to and through Labor.
  • Most clients begin massage as soon as they are ready.  Also Deep Tissue and firm pressure (unless other wise indicated by your health care provider) are GREAT for getting to those deep knots!  Pressure is adjustable depending on personal comfort and preference.
  • I provide cushions that are adjustable so Pregnant mother's can lie on their stomach fully supported.  For those who have problems with breech positioning, this supported stomach position helps with encouraging baby to "get in the correct position".  Side lying position is also available for mothers who prefer to lay on their sides.
  • Pregnancy massage is suggested once a month for the first eight months, (unless you are working with pelvic pain, or discomforts that make moving and walking around difficult), then at nine months,  twice a month following your Doctor or midwives appointments.
  • If you have chronic pain, I will work with your other health care practitioners such as  chiropractors, Acupuncturist's, Doula's, OB's & Midwives to achieve maximum comfort during pregnancy and labor.
  • Induction Massage can be preformed anywhere from 38.5 weeks up to  and through your due date helping you to prepare for a less stressful delivery.
  • Postnatal massage is just as important for helping you get back to feeling like you!  Don't skip out!
  • I also provide Therapeutic massage to Men and Women seeking therapeutic treatment.
