Mayan Abdominal Massage  is a specialized massage that focuses on the abdomen, pelvis, and lower back. It is based on traditional Maya healing practices and aims to improve circulation, organ function, and overall well-being.   This massage helps with Reproductive Support   
By combining the use of abdominal massage, weekly castor oil packs, yoni steams, and herbal support, YAM (your abdominal massage) helps to reduce symptoms of painful, irregular, or heavy periods, endometriosis, fibroids, and PCOS.  Proper nutrition,  and exercise (yes walking is exercise!), are steps you can take on your own to help improve your overall health.  YAM is also beneficial for pregnancy and postnatal care.  Make sure to read about how abdominal care is beneficial in each stage of your life.

How It Works

Mayan Abdominal Massage gently repositions the uterus and abdominal organs to enhance blood flow, nerve communication, and lymphatic drainage. The technique also helps release fascial restrictions and tension in the diaphragm and pelvic area.  A session includes a combination of abdominal massage, breathwork, and self-care techniques to continue at home. How Often should I receive Mayan Abdominal Massage?
For maximum effectiveness, you should receive more then one treatment either through a therapist, or self care at home.  Please read each of the ways Mayan Abdominal Massage can benefit you and your needs.  


 FIRST IN OFFICE MAYAN ABDOMINAL SESSION AND FOLLOW UP SESSIONS
Your initial session will include discussing  your health history, and your desired outcomes in supporting your health plan.  The first session is scheduled for 2 hours and includes a Mayan Abdominal Massage  a Yoni steaming, and/or, a Castor oil pack.  You will be able to take your castor oil pack from your session home with you, and it will last you two additional uses.  Following the session, we will discuss Your Abdominal Massage (YAM), castor oil packs, and other  at home self care, how often you should return for services.  Don’t worry!! You don’t have to remember all of this!  I will have a self care guide that will assist you through your self care sessions!

HOME SELF CARE
You will be able to take your castor oil pack home with you from your session for your continued use at home.  The castor oil pack will last you two additional uses.  At home you need a hot water bottle or a heating pad, unrefined castor oil.  I also have castor oil salve that can be used which most women find easier to use.  Both the Castor Oil Salve and Castor Oil carry the same benefits.  Follow the directions, in the recommended use guide.  Yoni steaming may be done at home as well.  Yoni herbs can be purchased through MyOrangeWellness LINK,  in store,  or you can choose to purchase your herbs at your favorite health store.  You will also need a yoni steaming seat.  There are many types available, some which go directly on a toilet seat, or yoni steam chairs that stand alone by themselves, and can also be found in MyOrangeWellness Link or your favorite online store.

NOTE:  Castor Oil packs are contraindicated during pregnancy.  Yoni steaming may begin AFTER 37+ weeks to help prepare the body for labor.
